Blog Pub

Appleyard has nicked my well-worn analogy of the blog as pub.

As the landlord of this establishment, I feel it is important to make beneficial introductions.

I would therefore like Thought Mesh to meet McCabism, if they haven't already done so.

I think Susan's Husband/AOG and Gordon have a lot in common with each other, but not necessarily with the rest of us mortals with normal-shaped brains.

The surface of mine is more like a fractal than a polygon.

Have you got any peanuts Brit?

How about a very, very old pickled egg?

If you let that crazy lady stay, I'll be taking my patronage elsewhere.

Speaking of patronage, can I get another poem? Put it on my tab.

Wetherspoons would have peanuts.

The poems tend to come all of a sudden without warning, a bit like that crazy lady. However, there is something in gestation, so be patient.

What's funny is that I commented on that exact subject over at OJ's when he was asking about scientific fables.

Is this I hint I should go back to more politics and less science?

SH:

Not at all. Your scientific posts, like Gordon's, are things of mystery and beauty. I read them, nod my head sagely, and yet the meaning is forever elusive, just beyond my grasp.

Like the writings of Wittgenstein, or the music of Barry Manilow.

Alex, you're barred, mate.
