Now this is how you play foopball

There's so much junk and money in the modern game of foopball that it's necessary to occasionally remind oneself why it used to be called 'the beautiful game'...

Here's a question that it's never occurred to me to ask about soccer until watching this clip.

Are there designed plays in soccer?

Teams practice routines for set-pieces (corners and free-kicks) but it's too fluid a game for 'plays' in the sense you mean. The level of apparent synchronisation in this clip comes from endless hours playing 5-a-side and practising pass-and-- move 'triangles'.
