Not related to the "x's x" format of sentence under discussion but I was recently pointed at this which contains the sentence: 207 BC: Chrysippus, a Greek stoic philosopher, is believed to have died of laughter after watching his drunk donkey attempt to eat figs.I don't think any aspect of it can be improved upon, if it's a different animal, fruit or he's some other type of philosopher it doesn't work nearly as well.
