Monsters, Inc

On a more positive note, after that grouchy quartet of posts, I have been watching Monsters, Inc a lot lately, due to Charlotte's enthusiasm for it. It really is a masterpiece - the concept is inspired and only Airplane! packs the gags in so densely, and the hit rate is higher in Monsters.

Loads of these Pixar films put Hollywood's 'grown-up' output to shame, but I reckon Monsters is the best even of such a great bunch.

yes I like monsters inc, mainly for the main premise, which is excellent!

Saw another one of those pixar jobs the other day called Rango which was also pretty decent I thought

I hear next year's Pixar film is going to be about dinosaurs! I expect I'll enjoy it, but the 10-year old inside me will be absolutely furious to see the slightest bit of artistic license being taken with respect to dinosaur taxonomy, anatomy or behaviour, not to mention their inability to talk.

Rango is another masterpiece, though not remotely a children's film.

I made the mistake of starting to watch Rango with my three year old. She still talks about it in a voice heavy with confusion, but edged with awe and a little fear.
