The new Coalition document has a whole civil liberties section, which includes a pledge to "introduce a new mechanism to prevent the proliferation of unnecessary new criminal offences."
I like the cut of its jib, but what could this 'mechanism' be?
I predict the mechanism will be built out of meccano. It will also have some bits of an airfix model spitfire glued to the top. The spitfire will be badly painted with enamel paint and the cockpit will be smeary and opaque where the glue got on it.
Probably one with bolts and rivets and moving parts, pneumatically powered.
